SOUTHLAND SHOW.
[BY TELEGRAPH.TRESS ASSOCIATION.]
Invercargill, Tuesday. The Southland A and P. Show opened to-day in beautiful weather, which promises well for People's Day to-morrow. The entries showed a total increase ' of 141 over those of last year, the previous best. There is a notable increase in cattle, no doubt due to the strides being made by the dairying industry in Southland. Right through, the quality of the exhibits was good and competition keen. •
