The number of vessels which have entered' inwards through the Customs at Nelson, during the past week, have been 13, of an aggregate burden of 1,442 tons, bringing 79 passengers for here and 15 en route for other ports. Of these vessels 7 were steamers of altogether 1,270 tons, and 6 sailing vessels of 172 tons y of these latter 1 was from West Wauganui Inlet with coal, 2 from Havelock with timber, 1 fromOkarita in ballast, and 2 from Golden Bay. During the past 4 weeks, 23 steam vessels of 5,428 tons, and 31 sailing vessels of 1,204 tons, altogether 54 vessels of 6,632 tons, have entered through the Customs, bringing altogether 315 passengers for this port. ' During the same week, 12 vessels of 1,329 tons have cleared outwards, taking with them 46 passengers. These vessels consist of 5 steamers of 976 tons and 7 sailing craft of ' '343 tons ; of the sailing craft 1 was for New-, castle of 233 tons, 1 for 'Havelock,. and the remainder for the bay settlements. During the 4 weeks, 21 steam_ vessels ."of 4,864 tons, and 25 sailing vessels of 1,348 tons, altogether, 46 vessels of 6,214 tons, have cleared outwards, taking with them 176 passengers. , ' The exports of Nelson produce during the past week consisted of 230 packages of potatoes and vegetables,. 38 ditto fruit, 7 ditto eggs, 2 ditto cheese, 136 ditto butter, and 57 casks of ale. And during the' past month have been 824 cases fruit, 1,496 ditto potatoes and vegetables, 7 ditto eggs, 10 ditto - cheese, 223 ditto butter, 63 bags bran, 27 bales chaff, 207 casks ale, 133 ditto bottled ale, 250 sheep, 17 head of cattle,' and 34,100 - ozs. of gold.
