OVERTAKEN BY A TRAIN.
WOODVILLE, June 12,
An elderly man named Alfred Symonds was run into by the seven o'clock train to Palmerston last night and killed outright. Symonds had been working all day shifting coal at the gasworks, and was going home along the railway line. Deceased leaves a widow and two daughters, both married.
