Russell, schooner, is at the Railway Wharf, loading for Auckland. The schooner Cleopatra hauled in to the Railway Wharf yesterday morning, to discharge her cargo. The Lady Bird from Wellington, and the Gothenburg from Melbourne via Dunedin, are expected to arrive at Lyttelton, to-day.

The schooner William and Julia arrived in harbouryesterday morning, to repair damages. She is from the Manukau bound for Kaiapoi. When two days off Kaiapoi she lost her anchor and split mainsail. The brig Jane, Capt. P. Fox came up to her anchorage yesterday morning; left Hobart Town on the 18th July, and experienced strong N.E. and S.E. gales up to the 23rd; thence had light westerly winds up to the 28th, and light northerly and N.E. winds to 31st, We are obliged to Capt. Fox for papers.

An accident occurred on Saturday at Sumner to the Southern Queen and Fancy schooners. The former was going in and the latter out; when in the channel the Southern Queen struck the Fancy on her quarter, sending her against the rocks, starting her planks, and damaging her bulwarks. The Southern Queen sustained some injury. The Captain of the Fancy, finding the vessel was injured, got sail on and came into harbour. The Southern Queen was beached in Dampier's Bay this morning to ascertain her damages. KAIAPOI. SAILED. Aug. Aug. 3—Comerang, p.s., Maillor, for Dunedin via Lyttelton and intermediate ports with the following cargo: For Lyttelton: 2001 bushels oats, Beswick; 386 sheepskins, W. Haine ; 300 bushels barley, Cairns; 2 tons potatoes, Birch and Co. For Akaroa: 152 bushels wheat, Newnham and Co. For Dunedin: 1 ton potatoes, and 388 bushels wheat, Newnham and Co.
