HIGH COMMISSIONER'S MESSAGE

The High Commissioner reports from London on November 3, at 5.5 a.m.: South of Lake Svanter on Sunday the Russians moved forward southwest of Baronovichi and captured 170 prisoners. North-west of Chartoryisk enemy trenches were captured and 412 prisoners taken. At the village of Komarovo the enemy was pressed into a swamp and annihilated. In Galicia south-west of Tarnopol, the Russians crossed Lake Ishkuv to the enemy trenches, where 400 were captured. On the Stryr 3000 prisoners were taken.
