AN IMPERIAL EDICT.

London, March 26. A Chinese Imperial edict announces that owing to the rebellion against the collection of the indemnity in southern Honan, and the murder of fourteen Christian converts, a magistrate at Piyang is degraded and another at Tungpo punished. Eebels caught bearing arms are ordered to bo beheaded.
A EIVAL TO EUSSO-CHINESE BANK.

London, March 26. A Japanese-Chinese bank is being formed to compete with the EussoChinese bank in Manchuria.
Some premises occupied by British subjeots in Yokohama have been dis> trained by the authorities, the occupants declining to pay house tax.
