LONDON, June 17. A Unionist was elected unopposed for Lewes in place of Sir Haubrey Fletcher, deceased. . , It is officially announced that the leaders, of the Government and Opposition met to-day and agreed to a secret conference; ' untrammallcd by any limitation or condition.
