TELEGRAM PILFERING.
Masterton, June 22. In the Resident Magistrate's Court today, judgment was given in the case of the proprietors of the News v. those of the News Letter —an action brought to recover five pounds damages for loss sustained through defendants using a telegram which ■ was missent to them. No evidence was brought forward to prove the defendants had not received a simiiar message, but judgment was given for L 5 and costs. Notice of appeal was given.
