FEILDING MARKET REPORT.
A. H. Atkinson and Co. report: — A fair entry of pigs came forward on Friday. There was a good attendance of buyers and prices were about equal to last week. A good entry of poultry sold wtoll. Produce came forward in large quantities arid sold at late rates. Quotations: — Horses: Aged, £1 10s to £5 7s 6d; ,4-year-old mare, £14 12s 6d. Pigs: Weaners, 3s 4d to 7s; slips, lls ; stores, 14s ; porkers, 17s to 19s 6d ; sows, 59s to 69s 6d. Poultry: Cockerels, Is to 2s 6d; hens, Is to Is 8d; turkeys, 4s 3d; ducks, Is 8d to 2s 2d ; all at each. Produce: Potatoes? pig 3s 9d, good j 10s ; horse carrots, 2s 6d per sack ; j onions, id to Id per lb ; pumpkins, 1 per lb. Bacon, factory, sides 7|d, hams 7£d; home cured, 7£d, 7£d, 8d 1 per lb. At the Kimbolton sale on Tuesday next the New Zealand Loan and Meroantile Agency Co., Ltd., Feilding, will offer a large yarding of both sheep and cattle. The entry at present comprises 1000 lambs, 800 ewes in lamb, and about 150 head of mixed cattle. Farmers and others requiring stock would do well to attend the sale. Immediately after the stock Mr Isheri wood's furniture will be offered at his residence.
