Alfred Dreyfus, who over four years ago was degraded from the French army, in which he was a captain of Artillery, and exiled to Guiana, on a charge of having communicated secrets to a foreign Power, has reached his native land once agaiu.
A French cruiser conveyed the prisoner from the penal settlement where he was confined, calling at Madiera en route.
The famous prisoner was early this morning landed at Quiberon, a small fishing town in the department of Morbihan, North west France. Before 6 am. Dreyfus was conveyed north and lodged at Rennes, in the Department of Ille et Villaine, where the fresh court martial is to re-hear his case.
There were very few persons present on the prisoner's arrival either at Quiberon or Eennes, and no demonstration was made.
Dreyfus was noticed by those who saw him to be looking ill, and his hair
was grey,

Ou his arrival at Rennes, Dreyfus had a touching interview with his wife.
So rigorous has the prisoner's confinement been of late that he is completely ignorant of the events of the past two years
