A TIMELY HINT
KEEPING THE LARDER DRY
Damp larders'* are food wasters for there is nothing which makes food "go off" so quickly as damp. Especially jams and preserves and such commodities. Fill a large jar with unslaked lime and place it in the bottom of the larder. That will keep mould caused through damp completely at bay.
