BRITISH SUBMARINE'S RETURN TO BASE
LONDON, May 15,
The British submarine Thunderbolt has returned to its home base after a year in the Mediterranean. The Thunderbolt sank two U-boats and five other enemy ships. Its guns were also active against the enemy on land, including an Italian fort.
The Thunderbolt was once the Thetis, which sank during its trial in Liverpool Bay and was raised to the surface after five months.
