A meeting of ladies was held recently to discuss ways and mean's of stimulating the sale of Health Stamps in Wellington, in aid of the funds of the Otaki Health Camp. Mrs. J. C. Burnett, president of the Ladifis' Auxiliary, presided.
The secretary of the Health Camp Association, Mr. CMeachen, described the beneficial work that had been carried out by, the Otaki Health Camp, and paid "a ' tribute, on behalf of his executive, to the ladies' sales committee which had been in operation for the past few years. As the original committee had decided to go into recess for the current year, it was found necessary to convene a meeting of ladies who would be willing to carry on.
As a result of this meeting, arrangements were made to staff the- General Post Office, and the Te Aro, Courtenay Place, and the Exhibition Post Offices. The ladies of the St. Vincent de Paul Society have taken charge of Te Aro, and the Health Camp Ladies' Auxiliary and other supporters, the remaining post offices. Any lady who would like to Tielp this worthy cause by vblunteering to sell stamps for short periods at the various post offices should communicate with the secretary, Mr. C. Meachen, 29 Vivian Street, Wellington.
