TRAIN AND CAR
A narrow escape from serious it«jury was experienced by the occupants of a motor-car driven by Mr. A. G. Clark, of Belmont, when it was struck by a south-bound train at the Siiverstream railway crossing at about 7.35 a.m. on Saturday. The car was . not struck by the engine but by the following carriages. The mudguards were damaged and the front wheels wrenched off. The occupants of the car were unhurt.
