Spring. Meeting, the going being- practically impossibla at Randwick, where Olympus was the only prominent candidate to be worked. He .covered half a mile in ■53sec.
At Rosebery, where the going was also heavy, Beau Vite* with his Derby jockey, W. Cook, up, beat Royal Chief, easily over a mile in lmin 50sec. Wilson ran a mile in lmin 49sec, easily beating Sydney over the last half-mile in 56sec. Feminist, who revelled in the going, covered seven furlongs in lmin 35sec and performed splendidly. Own Folk traversed a mile in lmin 49sec very impressively. High Caste "went freely over five furlongs in. lmin sfsec. Adios, with his Epsom jockey, A. Reed, up, led Denis at the end of five furlongs in lmin 4sec. Respirator, looking very well, covered six furlongs in lmin 19£ sec.
Tidal Wave, a two-year-old by Tiderace from My Own, covered half a mile in 51sec, a good effort for a juvenile . He is expected to perform creditably in the Gimcrack Stakes,
