"A NASTY CASE"
"The whole case is really a nasty one, and the less said about it the better," said Mr. J. H: Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today, after evidence had been heard against Archibald Joseph Chester, a miner, aged 34, who pleaded not guilty to trespassing on premises where his wife was dwelling, during the" currency of a separation order, wilfully damaging a bedstead to the extent of £3, .and a radio set to the extent of 10s, and wilfully damaging a door to the extent of £4. On the charge of trespass he was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence any time if, called upon within six months. The charge of damaging the bedstead and radio set was dismissed, and on the remaining charge he was convicted and fined £1 and ordered to pay for the damage and £3 12s 6d witnesses' expenses.
