PARIS, November 24.
It is reliably stated that the French defence measures in Indo-China will be accelerated immediately. During the last few months the number of troops in Indo-China has been increased by 20,000, and a big aeroplane factory has been opened at Saigon.
The Japanese, advancing from Sheklung, are for the first time in the neighbourhood of Hong Kong. They are fighting towards Lungkong, 20 miles away. Two thousand Japanese have arrived to the '.vest and are believed to be attempting to clear the railway area of Chinese.
The Japanese have asked permission to run an air service between Canton and Hong Kong.
