Lady Williams was a passenger by the Westralia, which left last night for Sydney.

Mrs. Martin Elgar, Wellington, has been visiting Mrs. E. C. Elgar, "Fernside," Featherston.

Dr. J. A. and Mrs. Doctor will be leaving early next month for an extended tour. They will go to Sydney and take ship for the Islands and the East, and then go down the east coast of Africa before proceeding to England. Much pleasure was expressed that Mrs. Doctor was willing to keep the presidency of the Victoria League, and Mrs. L. O. H. Tripp was appointed to act as chairman during her absence.

Mrs. S. Maundrell Hobbs, Myrtle Street, Lower Huitt, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. E. T. Recce. Fendalton, Christchurch, will return home tomorrow morning by the steamer express.

Mrs. J. D. Ormond, Wallingford, Hawke's Bay, who is spending a holiday in Christchurch, will pay a visit to her daughter, Mrs. T. Maling. Timaru. before returning north.

Mrs. H. H. Bramwell. Hawera, who has been the guest of Mrs. John Plimmer, Upper Wilils Street, has returned home.

Miss A. L. Rees, Gisborne, who has been spending a holiday in Wellington, returned home on Wednesday after a short visit to Napier.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Orbell, the Levels. Canterbury, returned home yesterday from a visit to the north.

Miss Mary Maunsell, Masterton, who is the guest of Miss Jane Deans, Sandown, Darfield, will leave next week to stay with Mrs. • George .Dennistoun, Peel Forest. Christchurch.

Mrs. H. Kinder, Remuera, left Auckland yesterday for a visit of some weeks to Wellington.

Mrs. J. H. Coleman, Hawke's Bay, will visit Christchurch early next month to attend the wedding of her brother, Mr." Terence Gresson, to Miss Eleanor Denniston. She will stay with her father, Mr. Maurice Gresson, "Gartmore," Fendalton.

Mrs. L. A. Williams, who has been assistant secretary to the Victoria League in Wellington, will leave shortly to take up her residence in Melbourne.

Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Jones and Miss Reenie Jones, Masterton, will visit Wellington for the Meadows—Eglinton wedding tomorrow.

Miss H. Card, and Misses Eva and Esme Card, Featherston, will visit Wellington tomorrow for the MeadowsEglinton- wedding.

Mrs. M. B. Moss and Miss Marion Moss, Auckland, passed through Wellington yesterday on a visit to the South Island.

Miss P. Callender, Kelburn, is paying a visit to Dunedin as the guest of Miss. Macassey.

Mrs. W. A. Hammond, The Terrace, -who has been spending a holiday at Paekakariki, has returned home.

Mr. and Mrs. F. B. King, Moxham Avenue, will leave tonight for a motor tour of the South Island.

Miss Shiela Kennedy, Opaki Road, Masterton, who has been paying a visit to her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Desmond Kennedy, Colyton, Feilding, has returned home.

Mrs. W. Manson, Wellington, who has been spending a few days in Auckland, returns home today.

Miss A. Kirkwood, Stratford, is visiting Welllington for a short holiday.

Miss Joyce Paterson, Wellington, .s the guest of Mrs. T. Cardiff, Patea.

Guests at the Hotel St. George include Mesdames Carswell-Campbell (Scotland), W. S. Whitlock (Hawke's Bay), Miss G. Adams East (San Francisco), and Miss.M. Sayegh (Auckland).
