LOSS OF BRITISH STOCK

CANBERRA, This Day.
During the year ended September 30 there,was a net increase of 7673 in the alien population of Australia, including 867 Germans, 2828 * Italians, 1052 Greeks, 701 Poles, and 655 Yugoslavs. In the same period the excess of permanent departures of British migrants o;ev arrivals was 544.
