TERRITORIAL ARMY
RECRUITING IN OCTOBER

RUGBY, November 10.
A total of 9129 recruits joined the Territorial Army in October. The total strength on November 1 was 194.077. This compares with a peace establishment of 201,707.
A striking feature of the recent improvement in strength is that the First Anti-aircraft Division, concerned with the defence of London against air attatk, has actually reached a strength of 24,070, and is above its normal peace establishment. ■
