AUSTRALIAN.. WORKERS
ARRIVALS BY TWO SHIPS
About 40 of the 100 carpenters, bricklayers, and plasterers who were engaged in Australia by Mr. Andrew Fletcher for work in New Zealand for the Fletcher Construction Co., Ltd., arrived by the Maunganui, via southern ports, and the Awatea from Sydney direct yesterday., Several others arrived recently.
Ultimately tho men era to be engaged on the Centennial Exhibition buildings at Rongotai, but in the meantime some of them are to be employed on other work for the Fletcher Construction Co.
