SYDNEY, July 14. The touring New Zealand hockey team played a country game at Mudgea today, New Zealand winning, 5-1. At half-time it led 2-0. Mudgee pressed early in the game, and play was fast and exciting. Smel« lie had to stop several hard shots. • Midway through the first spell Du£» field flicked one into the net, and a 1 few minutes later Monteith scored. In the second half three more goals were added by Robertson, Best, and Monteith.
