Some scattered showers were: still reported this morning, but a temporary change was in ■ evidence ,in various parts of the country, with cooler temperatures, and with moderate to strong northerly winds having backed-to. westerly... and. in places,- to south-westerly.:: , •'■.:. In Auckland rain fell, in themorning, and'the day was overcast,: with a fresh north-east wind. During; the night showery' conditions, prevailed. -The wind changed to south-west, and this morning was cloudy.1 , • The weather was mild and dull in. Wellington, with moderate northerly winds prevailing. Rain : fell ■ between 5 45 p.m. and 10.15 p.m., and the wind became stronger in the night and more westerly in direction. ' . _ • Dunedin yesterday experienced .a dull day, .with a fresh north-easterly wind, and after 6 p.m: rain fell.
