St. Peter's: Queen Carnival Bazaar,

The annual bazaar in St. Peter's Parish.. .Hall.-will be., opened-by : Mrs, H.'St. Barbe. Holland on Tuesday next, at 3 p.m. The bazaar will'continue'iii, the evenine, and on;the following day and evening. The usual stalls will be furnished, and special attractions will be the Christmas tree and produce stalls: -..-, -'■ . , ;■';■• ; -. Tennis Club Dance. Members''of "the Crawford. Hill .Ten-, nis' Club' and their friends spent a very enjoyable evening recently at a dance in the Taia Hall, Kilbirriie. Modern and oldrtime dancing was -indulged in, and an excellent supper was .served. The "Lucky Spot" competition was won by Mrs. I. Black and Mr. Perry, and Mr. and Mrs. Fpwke were the winners of the "Monte Carlo." The committee responsible for the success of the function consisted of Misses D. Wahlers, J: Kivell, G. Harrington, P. Lindsay, and H. Eisfelder, and Messrs. 1. Hawker, E. Edgecombe, and D. Petrie. • ■•-■.;■ ■> •" ■ ■ Navy League Girls. . An interesting little, ceremony will take place at St. Matthew's Diocesan Girls' School at Masterton on the' annual sports, day. Captain Oliver, D.S.C., A.D.C., R.N., will present a Navy League Union Jack to the school, which has the honour of having a membership1 of 100 girls. Parents, friends, and many visitors will be present as well as the school and staff, and the ceremony is expected to be a very pleasing one.
