EWART HOSPITAL
PATIENTS ENTERTAINED
An enjoyable- ■ entertainment was given the patients in the" Ewart Hospital on Thursday evening when members of the Red.Cross Society, led by Sister Watson and Mr. Williams Pengam, visited the institution. The programme included elocutionary items by the Misses Jean Iven and A. Nicholl, songs by Miss Zoe Hale and friend, step and other dances by two juveniles, and guitar and ukelele items. Mr. Lovatt was the accompanist, and he also played, a'iselection of popular airs. A short play was presented by Mr. Williams Pengam and the V.A.D.S.
When proposing a-vote of thanks ,to the entertainers; the patients' representative said> it "gave them great pleasure to welcome them to Ewart. They understood that the V.A. Division were extending the same courtesies to Ewart as the Red Cross Society did to Pukepra patients. They all greatly appreciated'this their first entertainment, and looked forward with pleasure to seeing them again.
