IN GOOD DEMAND
THE LONDON WOOL SALES

LONDON, March 19. Offerings at the wool sales today were 9622 bales, including 5520 bales New Zealand. Sales were 8050 bales. A good selection of wools, largely of Ne\v Zealand crossbreds, was offered and a satisfactory clearance was effected at full rates. The home trade were the chief buyers. Withdrawals were rather frequent among the low grade wools. New Zealand greasy crossbred, "Ngaio," made 14d highest and lOjd average. Greasy halfbred "Stonyhurst" made 17d highest and 15Jd average. The Bank of New Zealand. Produce Department, has received the following message from its London office under date March 19: — The sales continue with a very good demand. The market has a firmer tendency.
