SOUTH AFRICAN WAR
VETERANS' CONFERENCE
The conference of the South African War Veterans' Association, which concluded yesterday, re-elected Mr. J. I. Goldsmith Dominion president for a third term in succession. Mr. T. McWhirter (Taranaki) and Captain C. F Bishop (Wellington) were also nominated for the position but both withdrew in favour of Mr, Goldsmith. Other officers elected were:—Vicepresidents, Messrs. A. Collins, H. C Thompson, BenEllis, T. McWhirter E Hogg,-G. N. Creswell, W. G. Marks, J. V. Scott; executive committee, Colonel G. Mitchell, Lieut.-Colonel F. B. Mabin Major P. E. de B. Brandon, Messrs. H Murdoch, J. J. Clark, R. Tompkins T M. Milligan, A. G. Johnston, R. Anderson, B. C. Cull, and P. Peters; hon secretary, Mr. J. H. E. Tilling; hon treasurer, Mr. C. F. Bishop; hon. solicitor, Mr. W. Perry; hon. auditor, Mr. J L. Arcus.
