CHOOSING A CANDIDATE
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
OTAKI, This Day.
At a meeting at Otaki on Thursday night a branch of the National Political Federation was formed. Representatives were appointed to attend a meeting at Paekakariki at an early date, after which delegates will be appointed to help make a choice of a candidate for the coming election.
Candidates so- far announced for the Otaki seat are Messrs. W. H. Field (Nationalist, and the sitting member), L. G. Lowry (Labour), W. Appleton (Coalition), A. H. Burgess (Reform), and P. B. Fitzherbert (Independent Labour).
