OBITUARY
RT. REV. S. J. KIRKBY
(Received July 13, noon.) SYDNEY, This Day. Obituary: The Right Reverend S. J. Kirkby, Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Sydney, after a long illness. He was 56 years of age. The Rt. Rev. Kirkby was educated at Moore College, Sydney, and at Durham University, England. He was ordained a deacon in 1903 and a priest in the following year. He was Rector lof St. Anne's, Ryde, N.S.W., from 1914 Ito 1019 and was made Archdeacon of i Camden in 1031. In 1932 he was consecrated as Bishop Coadjutor of Sydney, and in 1933 he became Bishop Ad-, | miiiistrator. ojj the diocese of. Sydney.
