OFFICIAL STATEMENT
NO AMERICAN FLYING-BOATS
(Received July 13, 11.30-a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Minister of Defence, Mr. R. A. Parkhill, stated that it was not the intention of the Commonwealth to use an American flying-boat on the Tasman air service because of the existing embargo on American machines in Australia.
