IN CHRISTCHURCH
Thistle, who have performed well in the Chatham Cup competition during the last three years and have contested the ultimate, deciding game for the cup are already out of-this years contest. They lost their first _ tie, against Western A, at English Park last Saturday. It was a keen and lively struggle, in which Western won territorial honours, but there was no more between the teams than the score of 4-3 indicates. Western will meet Nomads in the final tie in the local section of the competition, says the "Star-Sun."
