FORWARDS PROMINENT
The forwards had the bigger say in the match between University and Miramar, played at Kelburn Park. University won by 14 points to 6. The University pack played very well, showing plenty of dash and pace, and it was as a result of their tireless efforts that success was achieved. In the first spell O'Regan, Wild, and Barker scored tries for University, and one of them was converted by Tricklebank, and in the second half McElwain added another three points with a try. Miramar's six points represented a penalty goal by Mulholland and a try by Horsfall. , , Mr. I. J. McArtney was the referee.
