"The first round of the Titahi Club's senior ;champioriship was played during the weekend and resulted:—M. R. Moore won from A. Henman by default; D. Stratmore beat A. Moore at the twentieth; 11. A. F. Aitken beat W. Mai-chant, 4. and 3; G. N. Anderson.beat Fv B. Carr, 5 and 4; H: Boon beat D. A. F. Crombie, 5 and 4; L. McGirr and W. F. Shirer have still to play.

A. Caughey, P. Kennedy and J. Hungerford, H. Boon, jun, and W. Kelly, E. Hardcastle, and G. S. Anderson.

lv the Desert Gold Cup mixed foursome the following have won their games: H. Boon and Mrs. Boon, M.R. Moore and Miss Hollis, F. B. Carr. and Miss Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. F. Crombie.

An exhibition match in aid of the.fund to send a team of New Zealand professional golfers to Melbourne will be'played on the Titahi links on Saturday between A; J. Shaw and M. R. Moore and J. D. Mclntosh and W. Campbell. The match will be over 36 holes.

During the weekend a bogey competition was won by D. A. F.'Crornbie (12), who finished 1 up. H. Boon (8), who'was all square, wae next. A 16-holes stroke competition was won by H. Murphy, 75, 14—61; E. Hardcastle coming nest with 77, 15—62.

A fourball' bogey competition was won by L. Spiller (22) and El. H. Crombie (20), who 1 up.
