RELATIONS
A meeting of the ; Wellington group of the Institute of Pacific Relations was held last week. .
The preliminary reports of the research in land utilisation were tabled, and Miss Seaton gave a resume of the work so far done in 1 Japan; China, and the Philippine Islands. She was followed by Dr. Scholefield, who gave an outline of the plan of research to be undertaken by the New Zealand branch of the institute during the next few years. . The New Zealand branch will concentrate on collecting data on the standard of living. Committees have been set up, and their findings are to be ready for the conference in 1935. ;
