FINE TROPHY DONATED
The educative work of tho Wellington Cursing DiA'ihion has been going onsteadily, states a recent report. An interesting trophy has been donated to the division by tho lady superintendent, Mrs. Wilson. It is.an artistic model of St. John's Gate, London, in silv.er,which is known1 as "The Homo of the Order of St. John.'' Tho trophy will bo awarded to, tho member gaining the highest aggregate marks in three competitions, "I^irst Aid," r'llome Nursing," and "Bedside Work." Thanks were cordially given to the superintendent for her fine gift, and its unique ehaiaetei1 was commented on-with much interest.; Miss Bates received tho gift on bohulf of the members, and Cxprossled thanks. Mrs. Corrigun, a member of ■ tho.division for many years past, offered to donate a cup for competition in "Bedside Work." The offer was gratefully accepted. Miss Maisie Wilson gave a good demonstration, of special, bedside care needed for a sick patient. Bogrot was expressed at losing this member, who has accepted a position in Napier. She was specially connected with the cadets, who made a. little presentation to her in appreciation of all she had done, Corporal Margaret Outrim officiating on behalf of tho corps. Mention was ma_de of a recent -accident on the Kelburn tramway, when the superintendent was 'fortunately present and rendered "first aid" to tlic injured man. She stated that she was ably as--7 sistecl by Sergt. Joan Dutton, whose U three years' training as a St. John \ Ambulance cadet stood her in good J stead.
