SCHOOL COMMITTEES
ELECTIONS ON MONDAY
School committee elections will take place at meetings of householders to be held throughout the Wellington Education Board's -district on Monday evening. It is expected that many subjects, particularly the already muchdiscussed one of school entrance age, will be exhaustingly debated. It is felt that the raising of the school entrance age from five tosix will have the effect of causing further unemployment among the teachers, and reducing school committees' grants,, which are based on the actual school attendance. Tho nomination of candidates for the school committees closed on April 17, except in the cases of schools with an attendance of less than 240, at which committee members may be nominated at the annual meeting on Monday evening.. • ' -■■-.'
