NORDON CUP
HOROWtfENUA'S CHALLENGE
The right to the first challenge match with Taranaki for the Nordon Cup, the minor associations' trophy, belongs to Horowheuua, Wellington's sub-associa-tion. Two seasons ago Hoi-owhenua were too far'down on the list of challengers to obtain a game with the holders, and last season they were overlooked in the arrangement of the zoning system which proved so successful. The match will be played at Hawera on a date to be arranged between Horowhcnua and Taranaki, or, failing an agreement, by the Management Committco of. the N.Z.H.A. It will probably take place towards the end of May or early in June. The suggestion has been made that a Wellington sonior team should visit Otnki a week or two before the Nordon Cup game to give the HorowhcV hna representatives some hard practice. If this preliminary match can be arranged it is likely that a fairly strong Wellington combination will make the trip.
