'A'census of unemployed girls is desired by the Y.W.C.A. Friendly Service Bureau with tho object of. making, a further appeal i'or work. Girls ; who have i-egisteif-d at the .bureau- are^ invited tv a meeting to-morrow .after: noon, at which there will be community singing and an address on the activities of the bureau in other centres. Enrolments for classes in. handicrafts and cooking, and other activities will be taken at the meeting. Reports from' the other departments of the Y.W.C.A. show that during Juno 2575 meals were served iii the cafeteria, and that 119 persons passed through the Boulcott street, hostel, an average of 20 sleeping in the house each night. There hayo been very good attendances at the Sunday afternoon and evening activities, and their popularity shows that these happy gatherings are meeting a need in the lives of girls, most of whom ;aro. far away from their owii homes. The total, membership in. the girls' is"at present 91, and 83 of these girls'attencTeft the clubs weekly. . . .
