MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Cases at the Magistrate's Court woro dealt with to-day by Mr. E. Page, S.M. Morton Andrew Wilson, a plasterer, aged 23, was remanded to appear at Auckland on 24th July on a charge of forgery. Detective-Sergeant Trickier bank stated there were a number of other charges to be answered. A remand until Thursday was granted in the case of Percy Fletcher, aged 20, who was charged with stealing 50 packets of cigarettes, yaluod at £1 17s (3d, the property of Lilian Nunn. In asking for the remand, Senior-Sergeant Edwards intimated that further inr|uiries had to be made. The accused .had an accomplice with him, but so far tho police had been unable to got In touch with him. Pletched was granted a similar remand on a charge of stealing a bottle of cough medicine valued at Is 6d, and a tin, of cocoa, ■valued at lOd.
' ITor casting offensive matter in a putilic placb, Albert Symona, aged 30, ■was lined £1. On a oliargo of1 drunkenness he was convicted and discharged. Henry Johnson, a seaman, aged 29, ■was finod £2, in default seven days' imprisonment, for committing a grossly indecent act. He was convicted and .discharged on a charge of drunkenness.
