POST OFFICE BURGLED
SAFE BLOWN OPEN
SMALL SUM TAKEN
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAMILTON, This Day. Thieves broke into the Whatawhata Post Office late last night and blew up a safe. Residents in the vicinity heard threo loud explosions between 10.30 p.m. and midnight. A motor-car was seen to move atjay from the Post Office. *
The Post Office, which is a small detached wooden building, was wrecked inside by the force of the explosion. Only a small/ sum of money in the safe was taken.
