CHEAP POTATOES

CHRISTCHURCH, 15th May.
The market for-potatoes is the worst for years. Crops are turning out well and farmers are offering full supplies to market, for which orders are almost entirely absent. Quotations to farmers on trucks are £2, £2 55,. or £3 to £3 2s\6d f.o.b: Potatoes for July delivery have been sold at £2 10s on trucks. May-June deliveries are not wanted. There is very little in-, quiry for onions, which are quoted at £3 10s to £3 15s on trucks.
