AN AMENDED STATEMENT "We had a successful season financially, the profit being £2116 18s 3d,", said Mr. j. .Prendevillo at the annual meeting of delegates to tlie Wellington Rugby Union last evening..; "Of course, it ; sounds all right, and it is all right, but it is necessury to study the balance-sheet to see what were the union's liabilities.; We still owe a considerable amount, and it will be necessary to niaintdin care in the management o£ the affairs of the union." The liabilities included: Loan (NJ3. Rucby Union) £3750, overdraft (Bank of N.Z.) £1806 0s Id (since increased), and mortgage (Bank of N.Z.) £9790. * In dealing with the statement of: income and:expenditure Mr. Prendeville requested' 'delegate's to make alterations to some of the items. These covered certain payments ,on behalf oV the ; Scw Zealand RiJgby; Union for expenses in connection with.. Hie "'-British team's matches. Items which were amended included advertising, changed--from £307 7s to £204 3s, amusement tax from £868 Ms 3d to £128 19s 4d, Athletic Park expenses from £548 18s id to £500 Us, and representative expenses from * £2294 18s 9d to £ 1006 •: 15s 5d The item payments to the N.Z. Rugby Union £2057 13s 8d was added.
