BIG WRESTLING
STECHER AND CANTONWINE ON MONDAY.
There is sure to be another record I crowd at the Town Hall on Monday night Vien Joe Steelier, ■ three times heavyweight champion of the .world, will be seen in action against Howard Cantonwine. Steelier weighs about 16st, while Cantonwine is some seven pounds heavier. The match is arousing a great-deal-of interest because so much has been heard o£ these great heavyweight matmen. Steelier lias beaten such great men as "Strangler" Lewis and Dr. Sarpolis, :and he is regarded as the finest wrestler in the world to-day. He is an expert with the figure four scissors hold. Howard Cantonwine is also a great wrestler with a remarkable list of victories to his credit. He has beaten some of the best matmen in the world and he packed the stadium out wherever he appeared in Australia. In Auckland last night he defeated Ted Thye in the fifth round, and ho is also: oil the opinion that he can defeat Stecher. The booking i'or the big match is very heavy at the Ritz Tobacconist shop iv Manners street. The er.rly doors of the Town Hall will open at 7 p.m. and there will be a limited number of seats for sale at the windows outside.
