STUD HORSES
■ lAEJRJ.VALS FEOM ENGLAND sfhree stud horses arrived from. England !>y. the Raugitata yesterday morning to the order of Messrs. Wright, Stephensou, who were acting on behalf of the New Zealand purchasers of the horses. Oue of the horses was a stallion for Mr. Game C'arrington, of Gisborne, and the others, were yearlings, a colt and a filly, for Mr. A. H. Fisher, of Dunedin, who personally selected them while in England. Mr. Fisher will be returning from England, via Australia, next week. The chestnut stallion Defoe was foaled in 1926. He is by. Hurry Oh out of Daugh-ter-in-Law, Hurry On beinj, tJso the sire of Mr.. Carrington's sire Hunting Song. Mr. Fisher's yearlings are a bay colt -by Allenby from Bright Hackle and a brown mare.by Soldennis from Lochgar. The horse Defoe will leave Wellington on Monday for Gisborne, and Mr. Fisher's yearlings will remain here a week before leaving for Dunediti.
