EIGHTEENTH AMENDMENT
ALBANY (New York), 11th April. The State Assembly by 80 votes to 62, passed a Bill requesting Congress to call a constitutional convention, for the purpose of repealing the .Eighteenth Amendment of the Constitution. The measure, however, failed to pass the- State Senate, due to a technical adjournment, creating a situation which made a vote impossible. Tho Eighteenth Amendment to the Constitution is that which declares prtrhibition the law of the land.
