Aeroplanes were used to direct the detectives to a place in the scrub where a large • number of men were playing "two-up" .in a cleverly camouflaged ring, The school was barricaded with wire entanglements in which branches and scrub were twined. Upon the approach of the police scouts posted round the ground bogan to wave white cloths, then a smoke screen was sent up and the men wore soon fleeing in all directions. The aeroplanes, flying low, joined in the chase. Eight men' were arrested. Many articles of clothing and two bicycles were left behind by the decamping players.
