BUSINESS MEN'S APPEAL
Mr. C. E. Proctor, chairman of the Business Men's Appeal for. the Chair of Obstetrics Endowment Fund, reports the following further contributions:— W. Simm, £2 2s; C. Atkinson, 10s; L. C. Barraud, £1 Is; Staff, A. S. Patterson and Co., £5 16s 6d; C. E. Allen, £1; 11. 0. Kebbell, £2 2s; Phillips and Pike, £5 ss; Staff, D.1.C., £3 Is; G. Bell, 10s 6d; Two Sisters, £3 10s. ■
The closing date for tho appeal is definitely the end of this month, and if business firms1 would intimate the nature of their contribution's to either Mr. A. C. Blake, honorary secretary (Tel. 24-063), or Mr. Proctor, chairman (Tel. ,42-565) iit would greatly facilitate the collection of donations. Other districts have either raised their quota by now, or have the necessary sum in sight, and those- making the appeal do not want the Capital City to lag be,hind other centres.
