ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS
The following statement was handed to the Press at last evening's meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association:—"ln view of the adverse criticism that has appeared in certain quarters in regard to the conduct of the recent New Zealand championship ■ meeting by the Wanga-nui-Taranaki Centre officials, the council is of opinion that the meeting was well conducted and congratulates the- Wanga-nui-Taranaki Centre on the result."
