MOTHER-OF-PEARL
Mother-of-pearl is very fashionable just now for knife handles, small spoons, and various ornamental pieces. It must never be cleaned with soap and water. A soft duster moistened with olive oil, followed by gentle rubbing and a final polish with an old silk handkerchief, will restore its first beauty.
