DIAMONDS v. HOSPITAL.

Diamonds and Hospital met at Forirua, a fast, even game resulting in a win for Diamonds by the odd goal in five. Hospital had the best of matters during the first spell, aiid Ewing, the Diamonds goalkeeper, was called on to save several times. Eventually Marshall succeeded in getting one past him. Following this goal, Diamonds had a turn at attack, and Anton and M'Leod both tried to penetrate Hospital's defence, but Ell, in goal, proved safe. Just before the end of the spell Hospital scored again, giving them a lead of a. couple of goals when the teams changed over. Soon after the resumption Diamonds drew level, Smith and M'Cormack scoring a goal apiece. Both sides then settled down to play strenuous lootball, and for the remainder of the game tho pace was fast. Eventually Smith, by scoring from a free kick, placed Diamonds in the lead. There was no further scoring, the game ending: Diamonds 3, Hospital 2.
